Why my work EQ is at an all-time high.
EQ stands for emotional intelligence. People who are not happy with the work they're doing or feel that they are at a dead end suffer from low emotional intelligence (EQ). Studies have shown, somehow, that people with low EQ are not as successful as those who have high EQ. EQ a person's ability to understand their own emotions and those of others, and to act appropriately using these emotions. It doesn't pay to have a high IQ if you are not receptive to your surroundings.
Which brings me to my heading; Why my work EQ is at an all-time high. Ever since I started working at my dad's startup company, I've been enjoying the flexibility a home-based business has to offer with the benefits of a professional firm. Since our firm operates from one of my family's houses conveniently converted to a fully-functional office, the environment is casual if not familiar. There are also days that I can work anywhere I want as long as there is an internet connection present to keep me connected to the central office where all valuable information and correspondence are kept.
Traffic and time constraints aren't issues I have to live with everyday not unless there are client calls, on-site projects and the like. On light load days, I can opt to stay home and conduct operations from my coffee nook clad in shorts and a plain shirt. Very much like today...
I guess Confucius was right when he said, " If you enjoy what you do, you'll never work another day in your life."
Now that things have settled down in a way, all that is left is for me to settle as well
n.b. I know it's kind of lame taking timed pictures but I had nothing else to do today..
